From the ground up, that is how we work. We are Folkestone Builders, and we have been putting up solid, well-built structures across Folkestone and the surrounding area for years. No corners cut. No shortcuts on materials.

How we work

Every job starts with a proper look at the site. We measure, we plan, we price it straight. No vague estimates that balloon once we are on site. If there is a problem with the ground or the existing structure, we tell you before we start digging.

Converting garages is one of those jobs we get called out for regularly. Done right, it adds real usable space to a house. Done badly (and we have seen some shoddy work out there), it causes damp, cold spots and structural headaches for years.

We cover Folkestone town centre, out towards Sandgate, and across to Hawkinge. If you are in CT19 or CT20, we are likely already working near you.

The build itself

We work in brick, block, concrete and timber. We lay our own foundations. We do not sub out the structural work to whoever answers the phone first. Our team handles the project from foundations to finishing plaster.

Short sentences matter on site. Plans change. Weather hits. Problems appear. We adapt. That is the job.

However well a project is scoped at the start, the ground sometimes has other ideas. We have dealt with made-up ground near the old harbour area, poor drainage on sloped plots, and existing walls that turned out to be holding more than they should. We sort it and we keep you in the loop.
