Patios Oldtown

Patios Oldtown

The ground stays wet here. That is just a fact.

Irish rainfall is relentless and falls set correctly matter more than any surface you choose. I have seen beautiful looking jobs lift and crack inside two winters because the groundwork underneath was rushed. We do not rush the groundwork.

We are based in Oldtown and we cover the surrounding area. The lads know this ground, the clay, the frost pockets, the drainage headaches that come with a wet Irish season.

What we lay

Every garden is different, so we work across a wide range of surfacing options.

  • Indian sandstone patios
  • Porcelain paving
  • Limestone patio installations
  • Granite slabbing
  • Garden paving and pathways

Each one behaves differently underfoot and in wet weather. Porcelain is low maintenance and handles frost well. Limestone gives a warmer, more natural look. Indian sandstone is the one most people come to us asking about first (and fair enough, it photographs well and wears nicely when it is properly sealed). Granite slabbing is tough as anything. We talk through the options with every customer before a single slab is ordered.

More than just patios

We also handle new lawn turfing for gardens that need a full reset. Wooden fencing, bricklaying, pathway work, older patio renovations where the surface has shifted or the pointing has gone. It is more common than people think.

We have done work near St Brigid’s GAA club and right across north County Dublin. Local jobs, word of mouth, repeat customers. That tells you more than anything we could write here.

Getting the job done right

No unnecessary upselling. We look at the space, we tell you what we think it needs, we price it straight. Some jobs are straightforward. Others need a bit more thinking.
