Materials and how we work

We pick materials that suit the ground conditions here, not just whatever looks good in a showroom. North Dublin soil shifts. We see it constantly, and it is exactly why we spend time on the base before a single slab goes down. A solid compacted sub-base is the difference between a patio that lasts and one that needs relaying in three years.

And we have relayed plenty of sunken slabs for people whose original job was done too quickly, with not enough depth underneath. It is straightforward work once you know what caused it, but it should not have been needed.

We source from Chadwicks and other reliable merchants, so the materials coming to your site are consistent quality. Porcelain in particular needs careful handling from order through to laying. We have the cutters and the adhesive-bed technique to do it properly.
