What we do

Outdoor spaces are what we know best. We’ve been laying patios, building walls, and reshaping gardens across north Dublin long enough to know what works and what doesn’t hold up after a wet winter.

The ground beneath your feet

A lot of gardens in this part of Dublin sit on Dublin boulder clay. It moves. It holds water. So the preparation stage isn’t something we rush, because a patio is only as good as what’s underneath it. Right, we’ve seen enough sunken flags and cracked edges to know exactly what corners not to cut.

Boundaries and structure

We handle more than just the flat surface. Brick walling, boundary fencing, kerb edging, and block work all form part of what we take on. A garden only reads properly when all the elements sit together and the lines are clean.

Drainage

We always think about water. On driveways and at garden thresholds we specify ACO channel drains across the transition point to stop surface water tracking back toward a threshold or pooling at a doorstep. A channel drain set at the correct fall with a 100mm internal width handles most residential surface water loads without any issue. Drainage isn’t glamorous, however it’s the difference between a patio that lasts and one that doesn’t.
