How We Approach the Work

One thing I always recommend where the fascia allows is a concealed gutter bracket fixing system. It keeps the front face of the gutter clean, removes exposed screw heads from the equation, and holds the run more rigidly over time (especially on longer spans that get hammered by wind off the Irish Sea). It is a small detail that makes a real difference ten years down the line.

When I am re-aligning a gutter that has sagged or pulled away, the bracket spacing is nearly always the culprit. We re-space to the correct centres, set the fall back to a proper gradient, and the whole run drains the way it should. I have sorted the same problem for houses near St. Vincent’s GAA club on the Clontarf Road and for estates much further north along the coast.

How Long Does a Gutter Replacement Take?

Q: How long does a full gutter replacement take on an average house?

A: On a standard semi-detached, we are usually done inside a day. A larger detached with a more complex roofline, or one where the fascia needs replacing first, will run to two days. We let you know before we start.
