Cork Builders
Building that holds up. Work you can stand behind.
We build things properly. That is the short version.
What we do
We cover the full range of residential building work across Cork City, from groundworks and foundations right through to plastering and finishing. Loft conversions are something we have done a lot of, and we know how to get the most out of that overhead space without cutting corners on structure or insulation.
When it comes to extensions, we handle every type that suits a residential property:
- Single-storey rear extensions
- Double-storey extensions
- Side-return extensions
- Wrap-around extensions
- Over-structure extensions built above an existing ground floor
- Modular and prefabricated extensions
- Conservatories and garden rooms with structural footings
- Garage conversions
- Basement conversions where ground conditions allow
Right, structural work is where we spend a lot of our time. Removing load-bearing walls, installing steel beams, underpinning existing foundations where soil bearing capacity is insufficient. We deal with older properties around Ballincollig and Blarney regularly, and the bones of those houses need proper attention before anything cosmetic goes near them.
New builds and renovations
We take on new builds from the slab up. Blockwork, brickwork, drainage runs, all of it. Renovations are just as common for us. Stripping a house back, sorting what the previous work got wrong, and building it back correctly.
So if you have got a property near Blackrock Village that needs a structural alteration or a full renovation, we have probably worked on something similar nearby.
Plastering and rendering
We do our own plastering and rendering. We use sand and cement scratch coats before any finish coat goes on. It takes longer. It lasts far longer too.
