Duo Blackout blinds are a combination of a Velux Blackout Siesta blind and a Velux Pleated blind fitted to a single window. Duo Blackout blinds are suitable for bedroom Velux windows. The blackout blind fabric is coated with an aluminium backing to block out light and deflect the heat of the sun. As well as being opaque, the blackout blinds run up and down aluminium side channels and this helps to make day into night and prevent any light from entering the room. The Blackout blind is moved manually and may be set to any vertical position. There is a wide range of fabics available. Also for white velux windows, GGU/GPU the side rails and blind fasia is white and are slightly more expensive than the aluminium finish. Blackout blinds reduce the heat gain and heat loss of a room. The pleated part of the blind provides privacy and allows light to diffuse into the room.
