Roman Technical Information
Roman blinds are the perfect choice to adding elegance and style to the windows in your home.

Each made to measure Roman blind is supplied fully lined to ensure they hang perfectly, and when raised soft pleats are formed to create a clean cut contemporary feel.

All Roman blinds are fully lined and the option to add an Ivory coloured Blackout Lining is also available. Please note that blackout lining is not available when the Cleat & Cord Raise Control is choosen.

Fibre rods are not supplied with blackout roman blinds.
The blackout lining creates soft pleats when raised.
To ensure that the blackout feature fuctions correctly the
fabric is tucked in horizontal joins on the front of the blind

If the blind is over 130cm wide then a Fabric Join will be neccessary.
When a Fabric Join is required then the Max Drop is 200cm.
Some fabrics cannot be joined and have a Max Width 130cm and Max Drop 250cm.

Where a Repeat Pattern exists for a fabric then the distance between repeats is indicated.

Standard headrail 26mm wide x 25mm deep.
Deluxe headrail 40mm wide x 40mm deep.

Standard blinds are raised and lowered using a cord that can be tied around a cleat.
Deluxe blinds operate via a sidewinder mechanism.

Sidewinder
A sidewinder is a white beaded cord that hangs on either side of the blind.
It is used to raise and lower the Roman blind to any height required.
The Roman blind is then held at that height by the friction mechanism within the sidewinder.
The pictures below show the visible white beaded cord of a sidewinder.
